BARRIE’S BIRTHDAY BASH CHILDRENS ART EXHIBITION JUN – JUL 2025

Children’s Art Competition and Exhibition

JUN – JUL 25

The 128 Telephone Box Gallery, in collaboration with the Angus Book Festival, ran a Children’s Art Competition, which led to an exhibition that ran from June – July 2025.

Children (ages 5 – 10 with adult supervision) were invited to come along and draw their favourite Peter Pan character or to create their own Neverland character. There was a small prize for the winner 🥇

The Peter Pan themed art workshop was held on a beautiful, warm sunny day at the Glens & Kirriemuir Church, Bank Street, Kirriemuir. There was lots to see and do, including meeting some amazing authors and illustrators, a tombola, walks with talks, and of course tea and cakes – all part of the 2025 Barrie’s Birthday Bash with Angus Book Festival.

Using story cubes for inspiration the children, and their adults created beautiful artworks It was so difficult to pick a winner. However, this year we selected Oliver’s wonderful, playful characters. He was delighted to be presented with his prize. We hope you all enjoyed the day and, of course, the exhibition – a splash of colours in the sun. Thank you to all the children and their adults for sharing their fabulous artworks. Looking forward to next year.
