‘SILENT CONVERSATIONS’ 4th – 26th NOV 2022
“Silent Conversations” examines connectivity between people and places, between objects and organisms. It looks at networks of communication and the transmission of information through the unspoken signals of stance and gesture.
“My works are abstractly figurative forms that try to blur the distinction between entity and object. My interest lies in the symbolic narratives we attach to objects and landscapes, and to our seemingly irresistible impulse to find human form in the structures that surround us. In planning work for the exhibition at the 128 Telephone Box I wanted to switch my attention to focus less on the stories we read and more on the way information is given and received through connected channels of communication.”
“Silent Conversations” is a sister show to the exhibition currently installed at the 201 Telephone Box Gallery in Strathkinness.
